In this workshop you will look at traditional patchwork techniques and then interpret them in a new and experimental way.
You will be encouraged to rip fabrics into strips rather than cut them, use frayed edges for texture, chop up your work and rearrange it, mix up your samples and embrace happy accidents! The textiles that you create can be used in textile collage, as textile art, as details in dressmaking or interiors projects, or translated into larger pieces for quilts.
Feel free to bring your own fabrics or choose from my extensive colour-coded archive.
